This articles lists the most common printing issues. Find your problem below and then use the links provided to test which remedy solves your issue. Some issues are caused by multiple problems and multiple remedies may need to be applied.

No response from the printer / Nothing prints

• Printer is not in ready mode
• Printer cables are not connected properly
• Incorrect or out of date printer driver printer driver
• Incorrect printer port

Prints only blank labels

• Darkness setting is too high/ low
• Incorrect media settings
• Incorrect settings or page size
• Printer is not properly set up or is loaded with incorrect media

Skipping labels

• Printer is not calibrated or loses calibration
• Incorrect page setup

Error or warning lights flash on printer panel

• Incorrect media settings
• Incorrect or out of date printer driver printer driver

Wrong data prints

• Performance settings or object print method causing issues
• Wrong font used or font substitution is enabled

Objects printing out of position

Fonts print incorrectly

Printing poor quality

• Darkness setting is too high/ low or print speed is too high

The print on the label is offset in an either an X or Y direction

• Incorrect page setup
• Printer is not calibrated or loses calibration

Text on the label is printing enlarged or shrunk

• Incorrect or out of date printer driver printer driver (DPI issue)

Slow printing / pausing between labels

• Incorrect media settings

Wrong number of copies

• Performance settings or object print method causing issues
• Copy incapable issue
